Sierra Leonean Artist Fantacee Wiz Takes Afrobeats Global with Sold-Out European Tour

Fantacee Wiz, born in Kenema and raised between Freetown and London, has officially become one of Sierra Leone's biggest musical exports with a completely sold-out European tour spanning 12 cities.

From Street Performer to Global Star

"I used to perform at Cotton Tree for tips," Fantacee recalls with a warm smile during our exclusive interview. "Now I'm performing for thousands in Berlin, Paris, and London. But my heart is always in Salone."

The Sound of Sierra Leone

What sets Fantacee apart is his incorporation of traditional Mende instruments and vocal patterns into contemporary Afrobeats production. His hit single "Salone Pikin" has over 50 million streams on Spotify and has been featured in a major Netflix series.

His upcoming album, set for release in June 2025, promises to further blend these worlds, featuring collaborations with both international artists and local Freetown musicians.
